Which BSC Qualification is suitable for me?

The British Safety Council offers a full range of accredited qualifications in the National Qualifications Framework.

Level Qualification Overview
6 Level 6 Diploma in:
Occupational Safety and Health
A professional qualification for full-time health and safety managers. Leads to membership of IOSH at Graduate level (Grad IOSH) and full membership of IIRSM.
3 Level 3 Certificate in:
Occupational Safety and Health
A professional qualification for managers with responsibility for aspects of health and safety. Leads to membership of IOSH at Technician level (Tech IOSH) and associate membership of IIRSM.
2 Level 2 Certificates in:
Risk Assessment
COSHH Risk Assessment
DSE Risk Assessment
Fire Risk Assessment
Manual Handling Risk Assessment
Employers are legally required to conduct suitable and sufficient risk assessments in a number of areas. This suite of qualifications allows employers to get more of their staff properly qualified, helping them to meet their legal obligations. Each qualification is assessed via a fit for purpose risk assessment task completed by candidates in their workplaces.
  Level 2 Certificate in:
Supervising Staff Safely
For those with general responsibility for the health and safety of others. Ideal for supervisors and team leaders. Assessed via workplace-based tasks.
1 Level 1 Certificate in:
Health and Safety at Work
Formalises health and safety induction training in the form of a nationally-recognised, transferable qualification. Assessed via a 40-question multiple choice examination available in English or Polish.
Entry Entry Level Award in:
Workplace Hazard Awareness
Aimed primarily at 14-16 year olds before, during or after work experience, but also suitable for adult learners with few formal qualifications. Assessed via a portfolio of evidence.
