Level 2 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is no longer the Fire Service's duty to make sure the workplace is safe. That duty lies with 'the responsible person' and they will be held accountable under the new legislation.
The Level 2 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment provides formal recognition of an individual's ability to undertake a fire risk assessment.
Accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) at Level 2 in the National Qualifications Framework.
Assessment is via a workplace-based fire risk assessment task which is delivered electronically to candidates.
The pass rate for this qualification is currently 91%.
Employers may either arrange a public or in-company training course or apply to become a Registered Course Provider themselves with the BSC.
