Appointed to the Board in September 2001 - Nina was Risk Management Director for Northern Foods plc. She is Chairman of RoSPA's National Occupational Health and Safety Committee and a past President of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). She has a Bachelor of Laws degree; a Post Graduate Diploma in Safety and Hygiene, is a Fellow of IOSH and a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. Nina was awarded an OBE in 2005 for services to health and safety.

Appointed to the Board in June 2003 - Tessa has a degree in Geography and Social Sciences from Sussex University and an MBA from the Open University. She is currently Director of Business Administration at the British Retail Consortium, prior to that she was Director of Compliance Operations at the Direct Marketing Association where she managed the industry's consumer protection services.

Appointed to the Board in October 2007 - Nigel is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. His career has progressed in Occupational Health and Safety developing over 30 years, from an HSE Inspector through to a senior management position as Group Health and Safety Adviser for a large, diverse plc and subsequently into an independent Health and Safety Consultancy.

Appointed to the Board in October 2007 - John is the Chief Executive of BII - the professional body for the licensed retail sector; with a strong commitment to raising standards in UK education and skills, in the hospitality, tourism, and security industries. An outstanding track record of commercial success in the organisation and growth of membership organisations and awarding bodies. He is the current Chairman of the UK Federation of Awarding Bodies, the trade association for the vocational awarding body industry.

Appointed to the Board in August 2002 - Sandy qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1963 and worked as such for 25 years. She studied part time for and was awarded a LLB Hons in 1987, passed all heads of the Law Sociey Finals in 1988 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. She passed the ATII in 1991 becoming an associate of the Institute of Taxation and qualified as a Trusts and Estate practitioner (TEP) in 1993. As a solicitor she specialised in corporate taxation working for a city law firm, joined bankers Coutts Co in 1999 and became Head of UK tax planning from which position she retired in April 2004.

Appointed to the Board in December 2003 - Charles was educated and trained as a Chartered Accountant in Nottingham where he qualified in 1966. Subsequently he worked mainly in London in the accountancy profession. He established and managed a niche-market practice, Godfrey Allan, which was absorbed by Tenon Group plc with whom he continued as divisional Chairman until his retirement in 2002.
- Dave Woodwark, MA, DPhil

Appointed to the Board in January 2003 - Dave has a doctorate in Chemistry and is currently a self-employed consultant working in the fields of knowledge transfer, organisational development and environmental management. Before this he worked for several years at AEA Technology, most recently as corporate Director for Growth, having previously run major parts of their risk management and environmental consultancy businesses.
He is Chairman of the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment and Chairman of the Oxfordshire Environment Group.
